How to Apply
We designed our application process to be as informative as possible. We want you to see first hand how our school and Montessori philosophy help children thrive.
Siblings of currently enrolled students are guaranteed a space at FCM. However we are unable to guarantee a space for applicant siblings of a formerly enrolled FCM student.
1
Begin by scheduling either a virtual or in-person tour to get a feel for our school.
2
Submit an application. FCM will reach out to you with a link to our application once you’ve toured our campus.
3
The application process concludes with an informal student-teacher meeting in a classroom.
Follow the Child Montessori School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, gender/gender identity, age, family structure, sexual orientation, or national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies or other school-administered programs
Meeting with Us
Once you apply, we ask you to participate in two separate meetings as part of our admission process.
Parent-Head of School Meeting
You’ll meet virtually with Rebecca McGrail, our Head of School. This is an informal conversation during which you’ll get another perspective on the family experience at FCM. Rebecca will be happy to answer any of your remaining questions. These meetings typically last about an hour.
Student-Teacher Meeting
During this 30-minute meeting, a teacher will show your child around one of our classrooms and do some work with them. These meetings are required for all children 18 months and older.
It is not necessary for both parents to attend. However, for prospective Toddler House children, we are happy to invite one parent into the classroom during the meeting.
Siblings of currently enrolled students are guaranteed a space at FCM. However, we are unable to guarantee a space to applicant siblings of a formerly enrolled FCM student.
