FCM Annual Toy & Clothing Drive – Community Connections
Monday, November 30 - Friday, December 4, 2009
Clear out your closets and toy shelves! We will be collecting gently used clothing and toys at drop-off each morning the week following the return from the Thanksgiving break and passing them along to those in need! Drop off will take place in the morning carpool line.

Winter Solstice Celebration

Join the FCM community as we celebrate this time of renewal with the children’s music, drama, food, and dance.This event is open to all FCM students, parents, family and friends.

Change for Change: Society for the Holy Child Montessori School, Dominican Republic – Community Connections
Monday, January 4, 2009 – Friday, June 11, 2009
Students will be encouraged to collect loose change through-out the second half of the school year. Special collection jugs will be out each Friday morning at drop-off beginning in January. This effort will give the students practical life skills from handling money. Our students also learn that small contributions can add up to a lot! Every family can afford to contribute something to this fund-raiser to benefit an international Montessori program. Be on the look-out for monthly updates on the total collected! At the end of the year, our collection will be delivered to the Society for the Holy Child Montessori School in the Dominican Republic, which is a Montessori school that serves a population in poverty and relies upon generous donations like the annual contribution from FCM to meet basic needs for its students.

PTSA Earth Day Social

Join fellow FCM families and staff for an Earth Day celebration and potluck. The event will take place in a local Raleigh park and will include activities that celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day!

FCM Annual Food Drive – Community Connections
Tuesday, June 1, 2010 - Friday, June 4, 2010
FCM students will be collecting non-perishable and canned foods to help stock the pantry of the Urban Ministries Food Bank for the summer months. The Upper Elementary students deliver and sort the goods collected for a valuable hands-on experience. It is a rewarding way to wind down the busy school year!

End-of-Year Carnival

On the last day of school join the FCM community for a fun-filled afternoon of play! Carnival like atmosphere filled with bouncy houses, games, great food and friends. A fantastic way to kick off the start of the summer break.
